Note: Son of Carl-Heinrich Arnold; he studied at the academies in Kassel, Antwerp, and in Berlin under Adolph Menzel. He was prolific, and cited works include portraits of Emperor Willem, and Louis Spohr. Many of his animal paintings are kept in the National Gallery, Berlin. Comment on works: graphic illustrator |
