Cheussey, François Auguste (French architect, 1781-1857)
|
Note: Cheussey was a student of Jean-Nicolas Louis Durand and Léon Dufourny. According to Breitman and Krier, he won the Grand prix de Rome (year unknown). He was the architect of the city of Mayence from 1806 to 1814, chief architect of the city of Amiens and the department of Somme (appointed 1814; resigned 1851) and architect for the Monuments Historiques from 1846 to 1848. He collaborated with Etienne Hippolyte Godde on the restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral at Amiens. |
