Wiškovský, Eugen (Czech photographer, 1888-1964)
|
Note: Wiškovský was a passionate photographer from the age of fifteen. He taught from 1910 to 1948, and was influenced by one of his own students, Jaromír Funke. He photographed assemblages of industrial objects, as well as the new Czech functionalist architecture. He also translated the works of Freud and was a member of the Czech Psychologic Society. He was among the first to try to apply principles of psychology to the forms of photography. At the end of the 1930s he devoted himself to landscape photography. |
