Golosov, Il'ya (Russian architect, 1883-1945)
|
Note: Golosov studied at the Stroganov School from 1898-1907, and at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture from 1907-1912, both in Moscow. He served in the army as an engineer from 1907-1912, and then worked with Ivan Vladislavovich Zholtovskii (from 1918-1921). Golosov became a teacher in the architectural faculty of the Moscow Polytechnical Institute, and at VKhUTEMAS, where he headed a workshop with Konstantin Stepanovich Mel'nikov. During World War II, he designed military monuments. |
