Vigarani, Gaspare (Italian architect and scenographer, 1586 or 1588-1663/1664)
|
Note: Vigarani trained as an architect in Reggio Emilia and was appointed "supervisor of works" in 1635 by Francesco d'Este, Duke of Modena. In 1659, Vigarani was called to Paris, France, by King Louis XIV. With his sons Carlo and Lodovico, he organized theatrical decorations for the court and built the Theatre of the Tuileries. |
