Phillips, C. Coles (American illustrator, 1880-1927)
|
Note: Phillips is best known for his image "The Fadeaway Girl," so-named for his technique of linking select dress parts of a woman to a background of identical color, creating an abstract pattern of shapes. Variations of this image appeared in "Saturday Evening Post," "Liberty," and "McCall's" magazines. |
