Note: In 1862, Arthur Robertson and Charles Shepherd formed a partnership called "Shepherd & Robertson" in Agra, India. In 1864, the firm moved to Simla and Samuel Bourne joined the business. It was perhaps at this point that the firm changed its name to "Howard, Shepherd & Bourne" which continued to operate until 1870. |
