Preisler, Jan (Czech painter and printmaker, 1872-1918)
|
Note: Studied at the School of Applied Arts in Prague (1887-1895), travelled to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Paris in 1906. His style evolved from art nouveau and symbolism towards expressionism. He later turned to monumental decoration and designed the Palacký Room in the Municipal House in Prague (1910-1912). |
