Shepherd, David (English painter and wildlife conservationist, 1931-2017)
|
Note: British painter rendered a variety of subjects but is most well-known for his naturalistic paintings of wild animals such as elephants and tigers. He created the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation in 1984, which administered an elephant orphanage in Zambia, financed antipoaching campaigns in places like Uganda, and worked to preserve a snow leopard habitat in Mongolia. |
