Yokoyama, Matsusaburo (Japanese photographer and lithographer, active 19th century )
|
Note: Before 1865, Yokoyama was a student of the photographer Renjo Shimooka (1823-1914). In 1865, Yokoyama established a commercial photographic studio in Yokoyama, Japan. In 1870, he was commissioned by the Ninagawa Shikitane to photograph Japanese art objects. From 1876 to 1881, Yokoyama lectured on photography and lithography at the Japanese Military Academy. After 1882, Yokoyama produced "photographic oil paintings". |
