Note: Three small, rocky islets (Isabella II, Congreso & Rey) forming Spanish plaza (enclave), off of northeast Morocco. They are probably the "tres insulae" mentioned in the 3rd century Roman Itinerarium Antonini. Occupied by Spain since 1847, they are also claimed by Morocco. The islets are waterless and uncultuvated, but are good anchorage along Moroccan Mediterranean coast. |
