Note: Yuchi Town was inhabited by both Apalachicola and Yuchi communities from the 1600s to the early 1800s. The Yuchi were dispersed west to Indian Territory in the early 1800s, while the earlier Apalachicola inhabitants either merged with other tribes or died in conflicts with the Spanish and English in the 1700s.
