Note: This is a federally-recognized reservation stewarded by the Forest County Potawatomi Community. The reservation spans approximately 12,000 acres located primarily in Forest County, Wisconsin; a smaller portion of the reservation's land-base is also spread between Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, and Oconto Counties, Wisconsin. After being officially recognized as a federally-designated Tribe, the Forest County Potawatomi Community made its initial land purchases for a reservation through Acts of Congress dated June 12, 1913 and June 30, 1913. |
