Note: Excavated area containing a number of monuments including: Early Dilmun Town, South Burial (“Honeycomb”) Complex, North Burial Complex, Late Dilmun Temple, and Single Burial Mounds. This collection of varied and unique monuments corresponds to a wide range of dates within the Dilmun civilization. Saar Heritage Park is the proposed name for a site that would join these monuments together for the purposes of development, protection, and increased tourism. The sprawling park area is situated 1 kilometer south of the modern village of Saar. It is on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
