Note: The small German town of Nennig is part of the municipality of Perl, located in the Merzig-Wadern area. Despite its small size it is a fairly well known tourist town, located as it is at the three-cornered border area of Luxembourg, France and Germany. It is very close to Rhineland-Palatinate, which starts right at the northern edge of town. The scenery is a mix of natural forest and cultivated vineyards, wine making being the primary local economic activity after tourism. There is also a gambling casino. The estimated population for 2005 was 1000.
