Note: Located in the north of the Būshehr province, the city is home to the remains of a castle from the ancient city of Eij. Also in the city center is Burazjan Fort, a caravansary or local inn in during the rule of Qajar dynasty (1779- 1924) that was transformed into a prison. Some other important structures are the Ardeshir Palace (near Tang-e-Eram), Bardak Siyah (12 km north of Dashtestan), and the palace of Koorush (near the Aardi river). |
