Note: Mucclassee was an Alibamu-Koasati town in the Upper Creek towns region. While the town was associated with the Alibamu-Koasati, Mvskoke (Muscogee, Creek) and Shawnee people also resided there, demonstrating the close ties between these communities. During the Removal period (1830's), many Alibamu-Koasati towns in Alabama were abandoned, reforming in Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. |
