Note: Huitzilapa is a valley located in the Magdalena Valley of upland Jalisco. An important shaft tomb (ca. 300 BCE - 200 CE) was discovered in 1993 in the valley, with multiple human remains, including those of cheiftans interred with bracelets and conch shell trumpets. Vessels, precious objects and earthenware figured were also discovered.
