Note: This is a federally-recognized reservation stewarded by the Inaja-Cosmit Band of DiegueƱo Mission Indians. Established in 1875, the reservation spans over 850 acres divided into two remote, rather inaccessible, parcels of land at the base of Cuyamaca Peak in east San Diego County, California. In an effort to uplift the epistemic authority of Indigenous knowledge systems and engage with Indigenous peoples' Right of Reply, ethical collaboration with the tribal chairperson's office and/or cultural center is highly encouraged for the most authoritative information about tribal reservations. |
