Note: Ruins located on the banks of the River Jed. The abbey was destroyed and rebuilt several times, mostly during the Anglo-Saxon Wars (1297-1300). It is a noted Transition Period church, with unbroken ranges of windows and elaborate decoration in one Norman doorway.
