Note: This is a federally-recognized reservation stewarded by the Manchester-Point Arena Band of Pomo Indians. The reservation spans approximately 364 acres near the town of Point Arena in Mendocino County, California. The Manchester-Point Arena Band of Pomo Indians occupied the California coastal area from the Gualala River to the south, Albion River to the north, and inlands towards the Anderson Valley since prior to European contact. However, the tribe was not alloted federal reservation lands on their ancestral territory until after it gained federal recognition as a tribal entity in 1936. |
