Note: Nydam Mose is an Iron Age site dating to ca. 250-550 CE. It lies in Øster Sottrup on the Sundeved Peninsula of county commune Sønderjylland, Denmark, about 8 km from Sonderborg. A prisoner sacrifice pit and weapons including swords, arrows, bows, and spears, have been uncovered, as well as a large oak Viking ship.
