The reservation comprises 583.749 square miles (over 372,000 acres) of land in south-central Arizona, 15,000 acres of which are dedicated to agricultural production. Spanning both Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona, the reservation lies within the Phoenix Metropolitan Area and is made up of seven districts along the Gila River; these districts include Sacaton, Komatke, Santan, and Blackwater.
