Note: A composite green pigment composed of cobalt and zinc oxides that have been calcined together. It is a fast drying, permanent, a good drier in oil paints, but has low tinctorial power. It has been available since the mid-1800s. It was invented in Sweden about 1780 by Sven Rinman and it began to be used as an artist's pigment by 1835.
