Note: Generally, a stylized sun motif showing the rays of the sun shooting out from or surrounding it. Specifically in America, it refers to a lunette with conventionalized sun rays, typically found on 18th-century American furniture. In British heraldry, it refers to a device of sun's rays appearing from behind a cloud; this was used as a badge by the English kings Edward III and Richard II.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 一般指別具風格的太陽光線紋飾,顯示太陽的光芒四射或光暈環繞。特別在美國,意指一種月牙形狀紋飾,裡面為常見的太陽光線圖樣,可在典型的十八世紀的美國家具中發現。在英國的紋章學裡,此圖飾指撥雲見日的裝置;英國國王愛德華三世和理查二世都曾以此為徽章圖案。 
Dutch ..... Over het algemeen een gestileerd zonmotief dat de zonnestralen toont die vanuit de zon schieten of die de zon omringen. Vooral in Amerika verwijst dit motief naar een lunet met geconventionaliseerde zonnestralen, zoals deze gewoonlijk worden aangetroffen op 18de-eeuws Amerikaans meubilair. In Britse heraldiek verwijst dit motief naar een embleem van zonnestralen die tevoorschijn komen vanachter een wolk; dit motief werd gebruikt als badge door de Engelse koningen Edward III en Richard II. 
Spanish ..... Generalmente, un motivo de sol estilizado que muestra los rayos del sol saliendo hacia afuera o rodeandolo. Especificamente en America, se refiere a una luneta con rayos de sol convencionales, generalmente encontrado en muebles del siglo XVIII. En heráldica británica, se refiere a un elemento de rayos del sol que aparece detrás de una nube; esta fue usada como una divisa por los reyes ingleses Eduardo III y Ricardo II.
