Dutch ..... Randen met bijzonder rijk borduurwerk of met gouddraad of gekleurd zijde geweven patronen, vaak verfraaid met juwelen of kralen. Gebruikt als ornamentele banden op kleren, zoals koninklijke of religieuze gewaden. De term verwijst naar de Frygiërs, die bekendstonden om hun grote vaardigheden in het borduren met goud. |
