Note: Refers to the Orientalizing phase of Greek art in Athens; it was approximately contemporary with the Proto-Corinthian phase. In these early phases of the Attic vase painting style, elements of the earlier Late Geometric styles are still evident. It began around 710 BCE and ended with the development of Attic black-figure painting around 610 BCE. It is characterized by a strong decorative scheme, spiral hooks and other motifs, and litheness of figures, with some roundness of form not found in Geometric styles.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de oriëntaliserende fase van de Griekse kunst in Athene; deze periode viel min of meer samen met de proto-Corinthische fase. In deze vroege fasen van de Attische vaasschilderstijl waren nog elementen van de eerdere laat-geometrische stijl te herkennen. Deze periode begon rond 710 v. Chr. en eindigde circa 610 v. Chr., met de ontwikkeling van de Attische zwartfigurige schilderkunst. De stijl wordt gekenmerkt door een krachtig decoratieschema, met spiraalvormen en andere motieven, en ranke figuren met lichte rondingen zoals die niet bij geometrische stijlen worden aangetroffen. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a las primeras fases del estilo Ático de pintura en vaso, donde elementos más tempranos de los estilos Geométricos Tardíos son todavía evidentes. Empezó alrededor del 710 a.C y acabó con el desarrollo de la pintura de la figura Negra del Ático alrededor del 610 a.C. Se caracteriza por un diseño decorativo fuerte, ganchos espirales y otros motivos y agilidad de las figuras, con algo de formas redondeadas que no se encuentra en los estilos Geométricos. |
