| Dutch ..... Houten of stenen burcht bestaande uit een slottoren die op een kunstmatig aangelegde aarden heuvel werd opgetrokken en waarrond zich een binnenhof bevond dat afgesloten was met een palissade en een gracht. Dit type kasteel ontstond in Noord-Europa rond de tiende eeuw en werd gebouwd tot het einde van de dertiende eeuw. |
