Note: Refers to the artwork of the North American Indians of the Northwest Coast who traditionally lived on the mainland and islands around the Skeen and Ness rivers and Milbank Sound in what are now British Columbia, Canada and Alaska. They speak any of three Tsimshian dialects: Niska, coastal Tsimshian, and Kitksan (or Gitksan). Tsimshian is classified as a Penutian language.
