Aeolic (Aegean architecture styles, Aegean styles, ... Styles and Periods (hierarchy name)) |
|
Note: Refers to an architectural style that has the same roots as the Ionic style. It developed in the northern Aegean islands and coastal region, but is seen in Etruria and elsewhere. It is seldom found after the fifth or fourth centuries BCE. It is distinguished from the Ionic by being much closer to the eastern prototypes, notably in the capitals where volutes rise from separate stems.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een bouwkundige stijl die dezelfde wortels heeft als de Ionische stijl. Deze stijl ontwikkelde zich op de eilanden en in de kustregio van de noordelijke Egeïsche Zee, maar komt ook voor in Etrurië en elders. Hij wordt zelden aangetroffen na de 5de of 4de eeuw v. Chr. en onderscheidt zich van de Ionische stijl doordat hij veel dichter bij de oosterse prototypen staat. Dit is vooral zichtbaar in de kapitelen waar voluten oprijzen uit afzonderlijke schachten. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a un estilo arquitectónico que tiene las mismas raíces que el estilo Jónico. Se desarrolló en las islas del norte del Mar Egeo y la región costera, pero puede encontrarse en Etruria y en otras partes. Raramente es hallado después de los siglos V o IV a.C. Se diferencia del Jónico que es mucho más cercano a los prototipos orientales, notablemente en los capiteles donde las volutas se elevan en tallos separados. |
