|
Note: Zitherlike plucked chordophones of ancient and modern India, composed of a hollow bamboo or wood tube to which one or more half-gourd resonators are attached, usually one at each end. Different regional types have varying numbers of frets and melody and drone strings. Medieval models had a single string supported by a rectangular bridge with a convex upper surface, which caused a buzzing effect when the string vibrated. The term is also used generically in India and other countries of southern Asia for chordophones of all kinds.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指古印度和現代印度的撥弦樂器，類似齊特琴。維納琴由中空的竹管或木管組成，管身與半個葫蘆製的共鳴器銜接，通常一端各有一個。不同地區的維納琴具有不同數目的琴品樂弦及附屬弦。中古世紀的維納琴為單弦，琴弦由琴表面微拱的三角琴橋支撐，故琴弦振動時，即形成低沉的嗡嗡聲。「維納琴」一詞也廣泛用以指印度和南亞其他國家所有的弦鳴樂器。 |
| Dutch ..... Snaarinstrumenten, bestaande uit een bamboe, of holle houten buis, waaraan één of meer klankbodems van een halve kalebas zijn bevestigd, meestal 1 aan elke kant; per streek een verschillend aantal frets en melodie- en bourdonsnaren; India, Zuid-Azië. |

Gezupftes Zitherinstrument des antiken und modernen Indien, bestehend aus einer hohlen Röhre aus Bambus oder Holz, an der eine oder mehrere halbe Kalebassen als Resonatoren angebracht sind, üblicherweise eine an jedem Ende. Verschiedene regionale Typen haben eine unterschiedliche Anzahl von Bünden und Melodiesaiten sowie Bordunsaiten. Mittelalterliche Modelle hatten eine einzige Saite, getragen von einem rechteckigen Steg mit einer konvexen Oberseite, die einen summenden Effekt erzeugte, wenn die Saite vibrierte. Die Bezeichnung wird in Indien und anderen südasiatischen Ländern auch allgemein verwendet für Chordofone aller Art. |

Úsese para cordófonos pulsados tipo cítara de la antigua y moderna India, consistentes en un bambú hueco o tubo de madera al cual se han agregado uno o más resonadores de media calabaza, generalmente uno en cada extremo. Los diferentes tipos regionales tienen distintos números de trastes y cuerdas melódicas y bordones. Los modelos medievales tenían una sola cuerda sujeta por un puente rectangular de superficie superior convexa, produciéndose un efecto de zumbido cuando la cuerda vibraba. El término es también usado genéricamente en la India y otros países del sur de Asia para toda clase de cordófonos |
