Note: A colorless, flexible thermoplastic resin produced by the condensation of polyvinyl alcohol with formaldehyde that is used as a structural adhesive. In conservation, plasticized polyvinyl formal film has been used to fill losses in ancient textiles.

| Dutch ..... Een kleurloze, buigzame thermoplastische hars die wordt gemaakt door polyvinylalcohol te condenseren met formaldehyde, en die wordt gebruikt als hechtmiddel voor constructie. In de conservering wordt geplastificeerde polyvinylformal gebruikt om gaten in oud textiel op te vullen. |
