Elk lid van een familie van thermoplastische synthetische harsen - variërend van vloeistoffen tot vaste stoffen - die worden gemaakt door de polymerisatie van ethyleenderivaten of vinylverbindingen; meestal vinylacetaat, vinylchloride en vinylideenchloride.
