Hopi-Tewa (style or culture) (Pueblo (Native American style), Southwestern Native American, ... Styles and Periods (hierarchy name)) |
|
Note: Style and culture of Native Americans living in the Hopi Mesas region in northern Arizona, particularly in Hano village on First Mesa. Distinct from Hopi and Tewa communities, Hopi-Tewa are descended from Tewa that fled the Rio Grande Pueblos during the 1680 Pueblo Revolt. The fleeing Tewa settled on First Mesa alongside the Hopi and continue to reside there today. |
