Note: Species of horse chestnut common in the Himalayan lowlands., between Kashmir and Western Nepal at elevations between 900 and 3,000 meters. It was introduced to the British Isles and is popular there in many parks and estates; having slender, pointed leaflets, has attractive feathery flower spikes with a bottlebrush effect.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Soort paardenkastanje die veel voorkomt tussen Kashmir en West-Nepal in de Himalayaanse laaglanden op hoogten tussen 900 en 3000 meter. De soort werd ook naar de Britse eilanden gebracht en wordt daar veel gebruikt in parken en landgoederen. De boom heeft ranke, puntige blaadjes en mooie veervormige bloemaren met een bottlebrush-effect.
