Note: Applied low-relief decoration made by free-hand brush application of gesso before gilding. Works with aggetti designs are commonly described as pastiglia, but the techniques are very different. Use aggetti for works designed using free-hand brush application. For works designed using the application of a mould, use "pastiglia."
