Note: Refers to the period marking the Nguyên dynasty (1802-1954 CE). The style of the earlier part of the period is patterned after the art of the Chinese Qing dynasty (1644-1911 CE) as evidenced by the manner in which the Nguyên city of Hue is constructed to duplicate the Forbidden City in Beijing. Temples and shrines in this period feature lacquered wood statues of Buddha and of monks in styles similar to those executed in the 18th century. In the early 20th century, the Chinese traditions and Buddhist themes were generally abandoned for a more European neo-classical approach as evidenced by the founding of the Ecole des Beaux Arts de l'Indochine de Hanoi in 1925, which taught Western techniques such as bronze-casting. The period also features traditional woodblock print production styles characterized by the use of rice paper colored with mineral or plant extracts. Print designs feature motifs from the lunar calendar, illustrations of popular myths, scenes from village festivals, and historic figures.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 用指阮朝的時代（西元1802年至1954年）。此時代的早期風格模仿中國清代藝術（西元1644年至1911年），可見於阮朝城市順化（Hue）仿造北京紫禁城的建築方式。本時代寺廟與神祠的特色展現於風格近似於西元十八世紀作品的佛陀與和尚的漆木雕像。西元二十世紀早期間，中國傳統與佛教主題大致被捨棄，改採用較具歐洲新古典風格的方法，西元1925年建於河內、以傳授如青銅鑄造等西方技法為主的印度支那美術學校（Ecole des Beaux Arts de l'Indochine）即為一例。此時代的其他特色還展現於傳統木刻版畫的製作風格，其特色在於使用了以礦物或植物粹取物加以染色的宣紙。版畫設計則多採出自農曆的母題，描繪了相當受歡迎的神話故事、村中祭典的景像與歷史人物等。

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de periode die de Nguyên-dynastie markeert (1802-1954). De stijl in het eerste gedeelte van deze periode is gebaseerd op de kunst van de Chinese Qing-dynastie (1644-1911) zoals blijkt uit de manier waarop de Nguyên-stad Hue is geconstrueerd als een duplicaat van de Verboden Stad in Peking. Tempels en schrijnen in deze periode worden gekenmerkt door houten beelden van Boeddha en van monniken in stijlen die vergelijkbaar zijn met de stijlen die in de 18de eeuw werden beoefend. In de vroege 20ste eeuw werden de Chinese en boeddhistische thema's over het algemeen verlaten om plaats te maken voor een meer Europese neoklassieke benadering, zoals blijkt uit de stichting van de Ecole des Beaux Arts de l'Indochine in Hanoi in 1925, waar westerse technieken zoals bronsgieten werden onderwezen. De periode wordt ook gekenmerkt door traditionele productiestijlen voor houtgravures, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van rijstpapier dat wordt gekleurd met extracten van mineralen of planten. | Spanish ..... Se refiere al período señalado por la dinastía Nguyên (1802-1954 d.C.). El estilo de la primera etapa de este período se basa en el arte de la dinastía china Qing (1644-1911 d.C.) como queda en evidencia por la manera en la que la ciudad de Nguyên de Hue está construida para reproducir la Ciudad Prohibida en Beijing. Los templos y altares del período presentan estatuas de madera barnizada de Buda y de monjes en estilos similares a aquéllos ejecutados en el siglo XVIII. A principios del siglo XX, las tradiciones chinas y temas budistas fueron en general abandonados por un acercamiento neoclásico más europeo como demuestra la fundación de la Ecole des Beaux Art de l'Indochine de Hanoi en 1925, que enseñaba técnicas occidentales como vaciado en bronce. El período también ofrece los estilos de producción de bloques de madera impresos tradicionales caracterizados por el uso de papel de arroz coloreado con extractos minerales o vegetales.
