Note: Refers to the Japanese period begining with the Onin War (1467-1477) and ending with the capture of of Kyoto in 1568, although some scholars date the period from the early 1490s. Chinese (traditional) ..... 指始於應仁之亂(西元1467年至1477年),終於西元1568年京都淪陷的日本時代,但有些學者主張西元1490年代初期,才是戰國時期的濫觴。當時,用作商業與政治中心的城下町開始發展,茶道、俳句、傳統中國水墨畫與陶器均相當盛行。

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de Japanse periode die begint bij de Onin oorlog (1467-1477) en eindigt met de inname van Kyoto in 1568. Sommige onderzoekers echter, laten de periode in de vroege jaren negentig van de 15de eeuw beginnen.
