Note: European reedpipes, well-known from the late 16th to the early 18th century and considered to be the precursor of the bassoon, having a body made of a single piece of wood with two parallel conical channels bored down and up within it, a bell at the top of and integral with the body, and a short crook carrying a double reed.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 歐洲的簧管樂器,盛行於十六世紀晚期至十八世紀早期,被視為巴松管的前身,以一塊木材製成,其內徑鑿有兩條上下貫通的平行圓錐形管道,號口位於管身頂端,與管身一體成型,還有一根帶有雙簧的短變音管。 
Dutch ..... Europese rietinstrumenten die vanaf het einde van de 16e tot de vroege 18e eeuw zeer populair waren en die worden beschouwd als de voorganger van de fagot. Ze hebben een buis uit een enkel stuk hout, waarin twee evenwijdige conische kanalen zijn geboord, naar beneden en weer omhoog. Bovenaan bevindt zich de klankbeker, die onderdeel is van de buis, met ernaast een korte aanblaashals met een dubbel riet. 
German ..... Europäisches Rohrblattinstrument, allgemein bekannt vom späten 16. Jahrhundert bis zum frühen 18. Jahrhundert und als Vorläufer des Fagott angesehen; der Korpus ist aus einem einzigen Stück Holz gefertigt mit zwei parallel verlaufenden konischen Bohrungen, von denen die eine nach unten bis zum Fuß und die andere vom Fuß aufwärts zum Schallbecher am oberen Ende des Korpus verläuft, und einem kurzen S-Bogen, der ein Doppelrohrblatt trägt. 
Spanish ..... Tubos de lengüeta europeos, populares desde las postrimerías del siglo XVI hasta comienzos del siglo XVIII y considerados como los precursores del fagot, consistentes en un cuerpo fabricado de una sola pieza de madera con dos perforaciones cónicas en su interior una ascendente y otra descendente, una campana en la parte de arriba del cuerpo e integrada a él, y un codo corto que lleva una lengüeta doble.
