Note: Drawings using ink as the primary medium and pen as the primary implement, usually on paper but may be on another support. Such drawings have a distinctive, linear appearance. For drawings that use pen and ink as well as washes, prefer "pen and wash drawings." For drawings or paintings using ink applied with brushes, use "ink wash paintings."

| Dutch ..... Tekeningen met inkt als primair medium en pen als primair werktuig, meestal op papier, maar soms ook op een andere drager. Deze tekeningen worden gekenmerkt doordat de lijnen een opvallende rol spelen. Gebruik 'gewassen pentekeningen' voor tekeningen met pen en inkt en daarnaast wasverftechniek. Gebruik 'gewassen inktschilderingen' voor schilderingen waarin inkt met een penseel is aangebracht.

| Portuguese ..... Desenhos que usam tinta como meio principal e caneta como instrumento principal, geralmente em papel, mas podem estar em outro suporte. Esses desenhos têm uma aparência distinta e linear. Para desenhos que usam caneta e tinta, bem como aguadas, prefira "desenhos a caneta e aguada". Para desenhos ou pinturas que usam tinta aplicada com pincéis, use "pinturas de lavagem de tinta". |
