How can I purchase a ticket to a Peace performance?
Tickets for Peace are available beginning July 1, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., online and by phone at (310) 440-7300.


Is there a limit on how many tickets I can buy?
No.


If tickets are sold out, will there be a waiting list?
No. However, we encourage you to check back about two weeks before a performance, as seats may become available.


Can I bring my child to a Peace performance?
This production contains material that is not suitable for children.


Do I need a separate parking reservation for the performance?
No. Separate parking reservations are not necessary, and parking is free after 5:00 p.m.


How early can I arrive?
There will be no admittance to the site until after 7:00 p.m. This will be strictly enforced, as the Getty must follow certain regulations mandated by the City of Los Angeles.


Do I need a reservation for the free shuttle from the Getty Center in Los Angeles to the Getty Villa in Malibu?
No. The shuttle will pick up guests in the Getty Center parking structure, on level P1. Boarding will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the shuttle will leave the Getty Center at 6:40 p.m. Ticket holders must present their Peace tickets prior to entering the shuttle. Shuttle space is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have any questions, please call (310) 440-7300.


What time will the shuttle leave the Getty Villa?
The shuttle will depart the Getty Villa promptly at 10:00 p.m.


Is there assigned seating?
No. Tickets are all general admission seating, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.


Will a seat cushion be provided?
Yes, each seat will have a cushion. However, due to space limitations, the seat cushion provided is backless. No portable stadium chairs are permitted.


How long is the performance?
Approximately 90 minutes, without an intermission.


Can I get something to eat before the performance?
Yes. For your convenience, we recommend using our pre-paid dining options. You may call or fax your order using the box dinner reservation form. Box dinners and a selection of wine and beer will also be available for purchase on-site before each performance.

In addition to box dinners, express food service options including light dinner fare, coffee and espresso drinks, soft drinks, a selection of wine and beer, and dessert items will be available for purchase at the Coffee Kiosk before each performance.


How can I change my pre-paid dinner order?
To make changes to your pre-paid dinner order or if you have any questions, please call (310) 440-6808. All changes must be requested two business days prior to your performance.


Where do I pick up my pre-paid box dinner?
Pre-paid box dinners will be available for pick-up in the Cafe at the Pre-order line. The Cafe is located above the outdoor Barbara and Lawrence Fleischman Theater.


Can I bring my own food and drink?
No. Visitors will not be permitted to enter the site with their own food, beverages, or alcohol. However, beer and wine are available for purchase on site.

All bags may be subject to security inspection, and backpacks and bags larger than 11 x 17 x 8 inches must be checked at the coat check in the Entry Pavilion.


Will there be heaters? Can I bring my own blanket?
No, we will not have heaters in the outdoor Barbara and Lawrence Fleischman Theater; we encourage visitors to bring a sweater or a blanket.


Can I come to the Museum earlier in the day?
Yes. However, you must have a separate general admission ticket to the Villa, which is subject to availability. Also, galleries are closed between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Check ticket availability online or by phone at (310) 440-7300.


Will the galleries be open?
Yes. All the galleries will be open, including Gallery 114, Dionysos and the Theater. Visitors are encouraged to explore the galleries from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m., before the performance.


Will you have listening devices available?
Yes, assisted listening devices are available upon request. Please ask an usher for one before you select a seat.


Are performances wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The Getty Villa site is ADA accessible. Front- and rear-row seating is available for visitors using wheelchairs and for their companions. Please arrive early to reach this area before the performance begins. Visitor Services staff will be available to assist you.


Are pets allowed at the Getty Villa?
No. Pets are not allowed on the Getty Villa site; this includes the parking structure as well. Service animals, such as guide dogs for the blind, are permitted.


If I purchased tickets, but cannot make it, can I get a refund?
No. Unfortunately, there are no refunds once tickets have been purchased.
