Getty Drawing Hour

Dates: The first and third Friday of every month. Upcoming dates:

June 6 and 20
July 4 and 18
August 1 and 15

Time: 7:00–9:00 p.m.
Location: Getty Center, Museum galleries
Admission: Free; space is limited. Sign up at the Information Desk beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the day of the session.

Spend a relaxing Friday evening in the galleries with Getty Drawing Hour, a free guided drawing session for aspiring artists of all skill levels.

The informal two-hour classes focus on works of art in the Museum's galleries. Each month, participants explore new topics ranging from portraiture to perspective, drawing inspiration from an expert art teacher and from the masterpieces of the past.

How to Participate
The Getty Drawing Hour is free and open to 45 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign-up begins at 6:00 p.m. the day of the session at the Information Desk in the Museum Entrance Hall.

Materials
Bring a drawing pad up to 24" x 36" and pencils.
