The Research Library's Julius Shulman photography archive contains over 260,000 negatives, vintage and modern prints, transparencies, and related printed matter. The material documents the modern movement in architecture in Southern California from the 1930s through 1997, including the Case Study Houses.
The Shulman archive is open for use to all members of the scholarly and museum communities (e.g., university faculty, graduate students, curators) with proof of current institutional affiliation. Access will also be granted to independent researchers with specific projects or interests as warranted.
