Rembrandt van Rijn transformed ordinary people into religious figures in his late portraits.
These pensive, textured paintings represent the creative vision of a spiritual artist. Were they related? A religious statement? A commercial venture? Judge for yourself in this first-ever presentation of Rembrandt's late work.
Go deeper with a gallery course on June 16 and 23 or attend the curator's lecture on June 9.
