Chalchiuhtlicue (Aztec deity)

Note: Aztec goddess of freshwater such as rivers, lakes, streams, etc. Wife, and sometimes sister, of the rain god Tlaloc. She ruled over the fourth of the previous suns, was deity of maize (corn). Like other water deities, she was often associated with serpents.
