Note: Event from the apocryphal Infancy Narrative of James, Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew, and the Gospel of the Nativity of Mary. Mary's parents, Joachim and Anne, in thanksgiving for the gift of having a child in their old age, brought their daughter as child to the Temple in Jerusalem to consecrate her to God.
