	Antichrist (Christian characters)

Note: One or more characters who will or have been an opposing force to Jesus Christ; a personal opponent of Christ and his kingdom, expected by the early church to appear before the end of the world, and much referred to in the Middle Ages, The word Antichrist occurs only in the Johannine Epistles; but there are so-called real parallelisms to these occurrences in the Apocalypse, in the Pauline Epistles, and less explicit ones in the Gospels and the Book of Daniel. May be portrayed as a beast or devil, or with a pleasing form that conceals evil.
