Battle of Ticinus (Carthaginian-Roman battle, 218 BCE)

Note: A battle of the Second Punic War fought between the Carthaginian forces of Hannibal and the Romans under Publius Cornelius Scipio in November 218 BCE. The battle took place in the flat country of Pavia province on the right bank of the Ticino river, just north of its confluence with the Po river. The battle probably took place near modern Vigevano.
