Thompson, Benjamin (American architect, 1918-2002)

Note: Thompson is known for his work on public spaces including Faneuil Hall in Boston, the South Street Seaport in Manhattan, Harborplace in Baltimore and Union Station in Washington. In the 1970s he created Design Research International, also known as D/R, a series of retail outlets for modern design. He worked in partnership with his wife Jane McC. Thompson in many ventures. |
