Note: Member of Fluxus, and key figure and founder of Happenings in New York from the 1960s. He created collages from discarded candy wrappers and cigarette butts. He was the author of 'A Primer of Happenings and Time Space Art,' 1965. He worked with the Living Theater and established his own gallery: Third Rail Gallery, and experimental venue that existed wherever he happened to reside. |
